Yearly woodcutting party at the cabin, mom and dad move to the Royal Oak Residence...
Bob didn't realize how "buff" he was when he was able to simply give one gigantic push and snap the old tree from it's stump. Here Bob prepares to begin cutting using his new chainsaw.
A few minutes later Bob has managed to cut the tree into fireplace-sized pieces.
Mike takes a break from splitting and hauling the wood. A multitude of invisible helpers can't be seen in this picture assisting in the splitting activities.
Tina takes a few moments to visit the splitting crew. We managed to break three splitting mauls because the wood grain was so tight and there were numerous knots.
After the rounds are cut to length, they are rolled down the hill to the splitting area. The trick is to roll them so that they stop in the splitting area. We only managed to have two roll beyond and go down over the bank to Deep Creek.
During woodcutting, everyone is asked to help. Here, Alex finds that he has large shoes to fill. Also, he was not wearing the proper safety equipment for working the woods.
Leo became a "persona non-gratis" for his over-indulgence on Saturday night.
Paul, Terry and Mark spent several hours working to hold down the sofa in the kitchen.
On Tuesday, Ted, Lola, Valorie and Thomas visited the Suntop Lookout. They reported great views of clouds obscuring Mount Rainier. Notice in this picture that they nailed boards over the windows of the lookout to keep mountain Sasquatches out.
It was unclear whether Ted was trying to take a picture of a mountain Sasquatch, or whether he gave up looking for the outhouse and was preparing to relieve himself.
Thomas searches for the elusive Sasquatch. Apparently the beast had recently been in the area because no one was using the picnic table.
Thomas waves his arm wildly in a sun dance designed to bring sunshine to the Suntop lookout. It didn't work.
On Monday, September 4, Bill and Lola Zimmerman moved from their Fall City home to the Red Oak Residence in North Bend. Here Bob poses in front of the Red Oak Residence. Can you see something wrong with this picture?
