The cabin in the New
Year. Notice that there is very little snow, due to a
much drier winter so far. Sometimes we have several
feet of snow by now!
During the day, this herd
of elk wandered up the riverbed towards Mt.
Rainier.
For the faint-at-heart,
this sign on the cabin entry door gives the proper
instructions should there be an eruption of Mt.
Rainier.
Debra and Anne
demonstrated how to ice skate in front of the cabin.
Anne said it was amazingly slippery, but it may have
been due to the beverage in her hand.
The New Years group
enjoys a Snow Cap beer while discussing politics and
web-page design. What a mixture!
Anne demonstrates her new
dance, the "elk-herd wobble", while Lennard prepares
to open his bottle of French champagne.
Did you notice? Anne got
her hair cut. The question is, which one?
Austin is now officially
a "toddler". Here he stands, trying to open the
bathroom door.
For Anne's "going away"
breakfast, Paul entertained both Austin and Kaylie,
although Kaylie seemed more interested in grabbing
the knife.
Austin became annoyingly
vocal when he saw Kaylie crawling back and forth
under the breakfast table.
Here is Kaylie at
breakfast, in one of her more "subdued"
moments.
One last picture of Anne
and Nickki before Anne heads back to Salome.
Anne and Kaylie pose for
that perfect picture.
