NOTES: 1. Three children from Lucinda's first marriage were living
with her and Martin Kersh in 1850: James N.C. Brown, Martha A.E.
Brown, and David L. Brown, all born in Alabama.
2. In the 1850 Bibb County Census, Martin was listed as a farmer
with $800 in real estate. He received several federal land grants in Bibb
County.
3. Martin and Lucinda's son, Wilson, is believed to be the Sgt. Son L.
Kersh, Confederate States Army, listed as buried in Sandy Chapel
Cemetery, p 501, Bibb Co. Cemetery Census.
