My Great Grandfather and Great
Grandmother immegreted to the US from Yugoslavia (former) in 1898 and 1899
Joseph Lavko
My Great GrandFather came to the U.S. in
1898. He was never Nauralized. The reason was wrote in a letter that
was to be infront of the Naturalization book but has been lost after all
these years. So the reason at this point is not known. I have no
idea who his parents are. I do know he has a brother Louis and sister
Jennie. I don't know if either one f his siblings came to the US.
But if they did I would think thay would be in the Cleveland area.
Anna Brodnick Lavko
Anna came to the U.S. in 1899 from Yugoslavia.
She traveled to Germany and there she got on a ship named Treva(?).
When Anna came to the US she went to Cleveland, Ohio where she met and
married Joseph (I believe they were married there but I have not found
the marriage record as of yet). On Anna death certifacate there were no
parents listed. I found out that she had a brother Charles and sister
Josehpone. I found out they died in the Cleveland area. With
this information I found out where and when they died. Also with
the combination of the two death certificates I found out what Anna's
parents names were. I have no other information on Anna's Parents.
