Laura Hancock Ward, a.k.a. Mrs. Barney Ward, and
sister of Frances Lietha "Fannie" Hancock Alexander.
Rev. John William Reese Alexander 1819-1899, and
father of John Wesley Alexander of Darlington/Florence
counties. He moved into the Darlington County area
from his father's home near (now) Bishopville. Thus,
his descendants became located there. I've seen the
original of this photo in the files of the Darlington County
Historical Commission, in fact I made this fascmile from
that photo in their offices. The DCHC is located on
Hewitt St. in the city of Darllington, Darlington County,
South Carolina. This is a copy machine copy.
