Mrs. McKinley Dead
Died, Mrs. Sarah McKinley at her home in Tilden, Ill., Oct. 18th, 1909, in the 68th year of her age. Ms. McKinley was the daughter of Wm. And Susan McKee and was born in New York City in the year 1841, and removed in childhood with her parents to Illinois, where she has since lived. She was married to Robert McKinley, Oct. 10th, 1861, and has been his constant helpmate ever since. To this union eight children were born, six of whom are still living, and with their father mourn the loss of a kind and loving wife and mother. Mrs. McKinley was a life long member by baptism and confession of the United Presbyterian denomination, being zealously devoted to her church and to the L.M.S., of which she was an active member and never absent from their services except o account of illness. Her last illness was very severe, though brief, but she bore her sufferings with Christian patience and the end was peace. Her’s was a long pilgrimage and at its end she found not death, but life, life everlasting. “Blessed Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 20th, conducted by her pastor, Rev. H. Rabb, assisted by Rev Nickerson, of the M. E. church. Internment in Tilden cemetery. |
